The Wildlife Waystation is a sanctuary for over 400 wild and exotic animals. Volunteers get to help with education, enrichment, compound cleaning, special events and other activities. At our clinics, volunteers help litigants prepare court forms or paperwork for administrative hearings.  Under the supervision of an attorney, volunteers may be asked to provide information about the legal process, as well as other community resources. All non-attorney work is reviewed and approved by an attorney.

American Cancer Society

Call Back Volunteer: A willingness to volunteer a minimum of 3 hours per week on a regular basis to call patients and family members to offer resources and or support. Additionally, the volunteer should be available for training during regular business hours as needed. Must be over 18 years of age.

Transportation for cancer patients:Volunteer drivers provide cancer patients and their families with free transportation to and from treatment related appointments. Using there own vehicle with a valid drivers license and clean DMV record. Proof of insurance is required. Must be over 18 years of age.

Look Good…Feel Better Volunteers:
A volunteer who is a certified cosmetologist or esthetician that is willing to be trained and is available to instruct small groups of cancer patients regarding make up application and wig styling.

Reach to Recovery
:
A breast cancer survivor trained to offer peer support to women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Volunteer should be at least one-year post treatment and available for initial interview, training and updates as needed.

Man-to-Man:
A prostate cancer survivor trained to offer peer support to men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Volunteer should be one-year post treatment and available for initial interview, training and updates as needed.

Health Fairs:
Volunteers attend local health fairs to distribute materials on prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer. (Depending on availability)

Relay For Life:
A community gathering where everyone can participate in the fight against cancer. It brings people together to raise money to help prevent cancer, save lives, and diminish suffering from the disease. Teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track. Survivors and caregivers are acknowledged in a very unique way.
